Enter domain name or IP address (IPv4 and IPv6).
Every IP address can host several services like domains (websites) or name servers. Use this tool to find domains, mail and name servers sharing the same IP address. It shows a maximum of 1,000 records per service. Just type a domain name or IP address and click the Go button.
Q: What is the difference in functionality between Free and Premium members?
A: The results for Free members are limited to 100 domains per IP. Premium members can view 1,000 domains, mail and name servers per IP and have the subnet view. Free members can try Premium output by using tcpiputils.com as input for this tool.
Q: How do you decide a domain is hosted on an IP address?
A: We first perform an A or AAAA lookup of the domain name. If we do not get an IP address back, we perform an A or AAAA lookup on the www record of the domain name. So for example we first try to resolve domain.com, if we do not get an IP address back we try to resolve www.domain.com.
Q: How do you decide a mail or name server is hosted on an IP address?
A: First we identify a mail or name server when it is actually configured in the DNS for a domain. For example if mail.domain.com is a MX record for domain.com, we identify mail.domain.com as a mail server. After we identify a mail or name server we perform an A and AAAA lookup of the server.
Q: How often do you resolve IP/DNS records for a domain?
A: Our DNS crawlers try to resolve every domain name once per month.
Q: How many domains do you have?
A: We have access to all gTLD (ex com, net, org) and nTLD (ex xyz, berlin, nyc) daily zone files. For ccTLD (ex de, fr, eu) our coverage is between 40% and 70% depending on the ccTLD.
Q: Is this tool available for all Top Level Domains?
A: Yes, the Domain Neighbors tool returns all domains.
